I want to start playing the cello.?

I play the Violin, and i know that 4/4 is full sized. 1/2 half size and so on. For my violin you need to only wipe it off and apply rosin to the bow, you dont need grease or anything unless you are polishing it. As far as i know you hardly ever replace strings (but thats with a violin a cello might be different). Hope that helped a little.
