When should we start our baby girl on a second language?

My husband speaks Gaelic and wants our daughter to be able to as well. I've heard conflicting advice as to whether it's best to introduce her to both languages at once or wait until she's a few years old to start speaking to her in Gaelic. Anyone have any experience with this?
