Help me, do I have a cold ? How do I get rid of it? 10 points?

I have I suppose a cold. First I had a stuffy left nostril that only bugged me at night. Now just about every time I blow my nose, there is alot of well.... booger in a m with about 20% blood traced through. The other day I blew my nose and it was a significant amount of blood. I put toilet paper in my nostril and pulled it out to find only fresh blood. Should I be concerned with these amounts and the fact it still happens when I blow my nose? My fiancee leaves the window open at night, I have a radiculously annoying tickle in my lower throat that makes me want to cough it out, sometimes bugs me worse than other times. Apparently sounds horrid, deep, and crackles. People think it is in my lungs .I dont want to resort to a doctor if it is simple, I just got back from a doctor for a eye sty. Does this sound serious? What are simple but effective remidies to help my throat and nose?
