Which is the lesser of the two evils: blatant prejudice or behind your back?

In your opinion, what is more or less despicable: someone who is in-your-face rampant about their prejudices (racism, ism, phobia etc.) has no qualms about suppressing their values about it to you, everyone or someone who is polite and civil but holds hypocritical prejudices when you are not around? Why?
