Has anyone know of anyone or has had gastric byp? would you recommand it?

I work in a gastroenterology office, so wee see alot of people who have had this done. We generally only see the people who are having troubles, so my view on this is slanted against it.. There are alot of complications, sure the weight comes off, but then you get tired of the diarrhea, anemias, surgical complications, like stenotic pouch, redo surgery etc. If you were to ask me, they neglect the real reasons for obesity in the first place, low self esteem, depression etc. The knife is not always the answer to those issues.
