What is the best way to become organized when moving into a new home?

We just moved into a reno-home and it still needs tons of work but things are going so slowly. Not enough money to do all the things that need to be done, yet we're staying in the home already. Boxes are everywhere, stereo is on the floor, we have no bedroom door! LOL! It's a scary sight i tell ya! Any ideas of where to start?
