Your feelings on organized labor union animus?

I agree 100% with Rango.Corporate greed has got this country to where it is now,not the unions. The unions are just a convenient place to lay blame.Corporate greed and people being able to take a checkbook and lobby for a vote in favor of special interest groups have brought us great things like NAFTA.I'm sorry to say that i feel even the unions are victims of corporate greed. My dad was general chairman of the western lines for many years and when he retired he was persona non grata with the international for telling them that they didn't deserve the trust placed in them by their members. In some cases i'm forced to agree. But that being said i shudder to think where we would be without them. The robber barons are alive and well and if they had their way we would be working for slave wages. When i consider the responsibility of what we do and the potential for disaster that could come from us making a mistake,i don't think i'm overpaid one cent.I have given up a lot of things over the years to go haul freight as has anyone that's a rail.We have all missed important milestones in our families lives.Holidays, birthdays, anniversarys,yo… name it.I even missed the birth of my son because i was stuck out in a blizzard on a freight train.Overpaid? Not me.
